About Basis
Energy
Our Basis Mission
Basis Energy is a financial platform for the Australian energy transition. Our role is to rethink how energy projects are contracted and financed by designing bespoke revenue solutions that unlock investment and enable projects to move from development to construction.
Australia’s energy transition does not need more projects, it needs more pathways to bankable revenue. Basis Energy was founded to address this gap. We believe the energy transition requires new financial architecture.

Tailored structuring
Basis Energy applies its experience in energy markets to tailor a revenue
structure that maximises investment outcomes for each asset.
Optimisation against asset-specific requirements
We work with developers and asset owners to optimise the contract term, cycling intensity, the balance between contracted and uncontracted revenue and degradation strategies against the specific investment requirements of the asset.
Designed for institutional approval
Revenue Swap Agreements are designed to be understood and approved by credit committees, infrastructure funds, and long-term capital allocators.
6 to 12 month
engagement window
Basis Energy typically engages 6 to 12 months before a developer's target
Financial Close to ensure each Revenue Swap Agreement is structured, priced, and documented in time for the lender process.
